I have a cold sore coming! Not open yet! HELP?!?

Okay...so I felt one coming on about 30 mins ago so I popped a 500 mg. L-Lysine pill and am now holding ice onto it. Should I take another pill of L-Lysine? It's Monday and I get to finally see my boyfriend on Friday. We haven't gotten to see eachother in only God knows how long and I do not want this nasty thing on my lip.
