If i dye my hair red over orange will it come out red?

I had a bad expierence with bleach a while ago and tried to fix it with a neutral brown color, well my hair ended up coming out an ickie blonde. I put up with it for a while then I just got tired of it. I went to sallys and got "red fire" a color I used reguarly in the past when I had darker hair and loved the results, the people at sally's told me to get a 10 volume developer and a protien filler and warned that it might come out "bright red", well that was fine with me since that was what i was trying to achieve, well next thing you know my hair is so bright its orange! I mean like crayola orange! I hate it! I ended up buying 2 of the "red fire" hair color bottles, so im wondering if I use the second one will my hair finally become red or a more horrible shade of orange? Please help!
