I had strep throat a week ago...?

And I finally went to the doctor. The doctor prescribed me with Azithromycin Tablets. (250 mg, 6 tablets) Anyways, I was to take 2 the first day and 1 everyday after that. The first day I took 2, I was fine. Nothing happened, the next day (yesterday) I took one in the morning and I was fine up until about 8 pm yesterday. I finally started getting a puffy eyelid on one eye, and eventually it happened to the other eye. Is this an allergic reaction to the drug? I'm allergic to penicilin but I made sure that they knew that, and they did. I don't know that it would take a full day (almost 2) for symptoms of allergic reaction to this medicine to come in. I'm not in pain or anything, just a tiny itch in my eyes and swollen.
